A Visual Guide to Whole Body Liposuction
Meet Director Ahn Ji-hwan, an expert in liposuction who will take us on a visual journey to understand liposuction with our eyes. In this blog post, we will delve into the various areas of the body where liposuction can be performed, as demonstrated on a mannequin. We’ll wrap up with a brief overview of the surgical technique involved.
Breaking Down the Liposuction Areas
By using a mannequin, Director Ahn Ji-hwan will demonstrate where and how liposuction is typically performed. There are three major parts involved: the abdomen, thighs, and hips.
Chest and Shoulder Area
First, let’s take a look at the chest and shoulder area. This includes marking the chest area and the collarbone, the floating breast or front bulge, the armpit area (Paris), the back bulge, and the bra line (especially the surrounding arm area).
Abdomen
When it comes to the abdomen, we use the xiphoid process (base of the chest) and the navel as benchmarks. The abdomen is divided into upper and lower sections, as well as the side waist. Another important area is the love handle, which is the overlapping area between the panty line and bra line.
Thighs
For the thighs, we divide them into inner and outer parts. The outer part is referred to as the “saddlebag,” which spans the front, inner, and back of the thigh.
Hips
Finally, let’s move onto the hips. The hip and thigh are separated by a crease. We focus on the hip line and the protruding area outside of the panty line.
Surgical Technique: Making Incisions and Using a Cannula
Director Ahn Ji-hwan will now explain how incisions are made in each area and introduce the use of a cannula to perform the surgery. Note that the mannequin used in this demonstration does not perfectly represent a human body, as humans have more distinct ribs, pelvic bones, and natural wrinkles.
Whole body liposuction can make a significant difference in your overall appearance by removing unwanted fat from various areas of your body. With the guidance of experts like Director Ahn Ji-hwan and the right surgical technique, you can achieve the desired aesthetic results in a safe and effective manner.
